"Mihai Viteazul" Gymnasium School in Braila, Braila County,is an educational unit with legal personality consisting of two structures,located at a distance of 1 km from each other,in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city.Both schools within the organization include both primary education(12 grades) and secondary education(14 grades).The school offers free general education,curricular and extracurricular activities(summer school,remedial education,after school and more,in the form of volunteering) for children in order to train their skills.The school carries out many activities aimed at motivating students and attracting them to school to prevent early school leaving and not only but also a good integration into the labor market.Within the organization we find a number of 54 teachers,of which over 80% have teaching degree 1 and over 20 years of experience in education,11 employees in the non-teaching staff category and 541 students,of which we also find the following categories as follows: -students from social work centers(15 students) -students who have at least one parent gone to work abroad(35%) -students from disadvantaged families with a precarious financial situation(52 students receive scholarships but not all parents have applied for such scholarships due to bureaucracy) -students from single-parent families(have a deceased parent or divorced parents-68) -students with special educational needs(57) We are a school that does not have experience in Erasmus projects,we have not benefited from funding under the program but we have many teachers who have extensive experience in Erasmus programs.Also experience with eTwinning projects "OVER MY DREAM", "Christmas and Easter/Spring cards exchange", "Let's Do It TWOgether", "I WANT TO KNOW YOUR CITY WHILE INTRODUCING MY CITY!" stimulated both teachers and students to continue collaborating with teachers and students from other countries.The impact of these projects contributed to the achievement of 2 strategic objectives in PDI.At the school level we have the programs "School after school"(remedial education program), "Be smart,be happy"(Peermentoring program), "Happy parents"-program for parents) and we have completed the project School "Intercultural meetings from ethnography".The implementation of this project will largely ensure the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of the school PDI for the period 2022-2026 in correlation with the goals of the PED,which aims at international cooperation and implementation of European projects,internationalization of the quality of the educational act and increase of the visibility of the school at local and European level.Regarding the difficulty of learning STEM subjects,our school provides additional support through various programs and projects carried out outside school hours and with other schools.STEM teachers demonstrate teamwork skills,developed in projects developed locally with other schools.The team formed in this project has extensive experience in implementing projects that help not only our school but also our community.In addressing formal and non-formal education and in the constant use of new digital tools.Our team members are experienced in using technology in the classroom and are aware of technology-assisted distance education.They have the ability to take tests using a computer(Kahoot!,Quizizz,ASQ),mobile phones,digital textbooks,software applications to get real-time feedback(Mentimeter,Socrative),to create worksheets and digital lessons(Liveworksheet, Islcollective),programming(Scratch),to create tasks(Google forms) and to decode messages(QR codes).The team has solid experience in carrying out projects and cooperating with other schools and institutions.
